Can you get SSDI and go to school?

I am waiting for SSDI determination.Well here is my situation I am about to LOSE everything including my house and me and my daughter will be screwed. So I was thinking I could maybe get back into my program that I had to stop because of brain injury.I am not ready but at least I could get loan money to live off of.Would SSDI allow this?Any feedback is appreciated greatly

Taking out loans are a bad idea IMO, in this scenario. They can only be discharged due to disability if you took them out prior to becoming disabled. And, yes, an ALJ will factor your ability to attend college. I was only able to manage taking 1 class, and it was a factor in my denial at the time.

If you thought you could work after completing your degree, than it would be an excellent idea.

You can attempt to expedite your SSDI application if you're stalled in the process or, you can work on providing SS with all the required documentation needed to prove you're disabled. You can try to access other benefits like emergency housing and food stamps as well. Please review the stickies in this forum for additional help.

Best wishes.
