Hello Everyone

Hi,
I joined this website mainly because of neuropathy & constant inflammation from Chronic Lyme Disease (almost 7 years now). I am 49 now and this disease just keeps getting worse and worse over time. I like to browse other great websites to get any help I can. I really am looking for the most comfortable socks for my feet and any advice on how to keep the inflammation down in my feet & hands (it feels like I am walking on gel inserts all the time) I am afraid I will lose my big toes or worse one day if I cannot control this inflammation......Thank you all very much for a welcome......Rich :D

Nice to meet you. My name is Sharon. Is the neuropathy from Diabetes? My husband takes Gabapentin for his diabetic neuropathy and that seems to help. I dont know what to tell you about the Limes Disease. I thought I had it bad. When I got diagnosed it was 2 days after Christmas in the year I had it. At first the doctor thought it was mononeucleosis. I didn'y show any of the outward warning signs (i.e.the tell tale rash). I thought I had the flu. By the time I was diagnosed, it was about the the time the doctor wanted to put me in the hospital. But I treated it from home. It took about sven months before I stopped throwing up because the antibiotics were so strong. I can't begin to imagine what it feels like having to deal with it for 7 years.
Have you ever tried wearing diabetic socks? My husband was diagnosed with diabetic neuropathy, they worked really well for him along with the GABAPENTIN.
I hope the gabapentin helps if it is appropriate for you. Please write back. I have a post here myself under Bears Fan.
