It IS back :( and appears to be spreading

I posted last week that I was showing some signs of return. Muscle spasms, cramps and weakness which are all new to me. Before I had stabbing pain, but minor.

It has been in remission for a year and was only in my foot. Yesterday I felt that stabbing pain in my knee and hip! Several times  .....and to think I wouldn't remember that feeling. UGH! Then my foot turned into what my kids refer to as the ZOMBIE foot because of the purple blue color :(

So if I felt those stabbing pains in my knee and hip should I assume that is spreading?

Scary stuff  I'm sorry things seem to be worsening....hopefully it's a short term blip rather than a permanent feature.

Don't assume it is spread....those stabbing pains could just be random stabbing pains - I've had those a few times in all sorts of places, making me jump and shout out even, but nothing came of them generally. CRPS affects your whole system, and sometimes your nervous system just has a wobbly I think, and sends out these weird spasms, twitches or stabs.

Keep going and try to keep positive, hopefully they will subside and you can get back to enjoying remission and living your life :)

I'll have my fingers crossed for you!

I do hope it's just a blip! I was hoping it was all in my head  until my foot turned the color it did and I'm having the same symptoms as before.

It's good to know that those stabbing pains may not be spreading. I feel better now. I'm still waiting for my referral to go through for a doctor. I was told the doc had to review my case and decide if he wants to treat me....seriously!!! He specializes in crps. Guess I may get rejected if I'm not interesting enough

Lol.....it's NEVER 'all in your head' :D....it's in your nerves and your brain.... Maybe you're just having a flare for now, and your foot symptoms have returned for a bit? Any extra stress in your life at the moment? That's a great trigger for a flare...

Great to know that the doc gets to decide whether your case warrants his specialised help....grrr, that makes me so angry!

Good luck :grouphug:

Bram.

That's the odd part. We moved across country last summer and had to find jobs, schools, home, etc. No flare up. Now I'm pretty relaxed and happy and it pops up. :Bang-Head:
