Wish I would of had this instead of all the trial and error of trying all kinds of different medications and medication combinations. Some of which had very bad effects and were very painful and embarrassing. Sure is a hard thing to go through. I am glad to see they have found something like this. It is desperately needed and will decrease suffering. I feel like I have found the right combination of medications but sure would like to see what this brain scan thing recommends for me. Good find Mia.

This is essentially qEEG rebranded rEEG for Psychiatric diagnostics. This has been around for 2 decades. Now, with a investor profit motive, it is more likely to be pushed into mainstream use. This form of diagnostics has shown the most promise but was severely denigrated by a single article in a well respected Neurology Journal in 1997.
I have had this test done 4 times to diagnose the severity of my brain injury, not to prescribe drugs. My doctor could tell me how I am functioning without even reading my medical records. He had not seen such severe dysfunction as mine. He was surprised at my high level of functioning until he looked at the wave forms that relate to intelligence. He could see how I use intelligence to use work-arounds to overcome my dysfunctions. I sure hope this technology makes it into mainstream acceptance. The VA and military will be a good way to open doors to use. |
Last year, I posted an abstract about a study that was done here in San Diego at Camp Pendleton with Healing Touch and Guided Imagery on active military with PTSD. I am currently a Healing Touch Practitioner and have had extensive training on helping balance patients physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. This is also how I healed from my TBI and PCS.
I know the details of this study very well, as my instructors, fellow nurses, and a cardiologist I know all helped develop this study. The cardiologist is internationally known, her name is Mimi Guarneri, and she is also a Healing Touch Practitioner and founder of Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine. She has an amazing book called "The Heart Speaks". Below is a link to an article about the study. It has completely changed how our military is handling PTSD here in San Diego and Camp Pendleton has hired a Healing Touch Practitioner (who is also a nurse) who provides this treatment to active military due to the outstanding results and healing they are receiving. if you want more information, feel free to private message me. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0924102500.htm |
Miavita......Healing Touch is very very similar to acupuncture, which I know you are having great results with. They both work to remove congested energy in our energy system. I describe Healing Touch to my patients as "acupuncture but without the needles". It is a treatment that is used in many hospitals across the country and is usually done by a nurse. You can find a practitioner on the following website. They are all over the country. It was honestly, the best thing that has happened to me and I am fully recovered, and have been for quite a while now. Usually costs about the same as a massage...$75 or so.
