Once again, I highly recommend the Mark Morris Dance Group at Home DVD featuring the Brooklyn Parkinson’s Group.

i was interested in the clinical trial, with the delayed start part of the trial i assume they are investigating if exercise may slow progression in less advanced pd'ers. that's a big question that needs to be answered. lots of anecdotal info but i believe no studies.

but even if this study supports the hypothesis that some form of exercise may slow progression, just like with our obesity epidemic, you can lead a horse to water ....

that was my GP's response when i mentioned this type of research which surprised me, no curiosity, just what appeared to be frustration.

Great analogy!

I think that even if exercise doesn't actually slow progression, there is enough documented evidence that it helps in dealing with the symptoms of progression. This probably includes non-motor symptoms also. Either way, I really think its the number one thing PWP can do to help themselves deal with the disease.
