It's been FOREVER

I know, I know, it's been forever since I last posted here. So much has happened and I thought I should stop by and say hello and fill you all in. Jim's health has declined quite a bit, but he's such a trooper and hanging in there. Last year he spent over 6 months in the hospital fighting various ailments including a bone infection and bowel obstruction. He's ok and healing and doing better from all that...explains why he seemed so sick the year before and it just kept getting worse.

On a good note, our son Nik got married in the midst of all that and is now living in Michigan, planning to move back this summer to Illinois. I'll post a pic of all that. :)

AND Jim and I over the past four years have been working and trying to get medical cannabis legalized here in Illinois. And we did it with the help of all the sponsors, patients, advocates and lawmakers!!! We are now awaiting a message from the governors staff on when he'll sign the bill. Watch the news! :D

I'm mostly over at Facebook doing the advocacy thing and can be found there most days. My old Facebook was hacked so if we were friends, please look me up.

Some pics from the wedding, passing the bill and with my mom:

I was just thinking about you and Jim the other day and hoping ya'll were doing good. And here you are!!

Do you ever age? You still look exactly the same as you did several years ago.

Your son's wedding pics are so nice. My youngest son got married about a month ago. It was an outdoor wedding and it rained buckets! It was 54 degrees on May 4th if you can believe it! We had a good time, though.

I'm glad you posted. It's so nice to see old friends again. :)

Sandy & Jim! Yay! So great to see you!

Hi!!!

Sorry to hear Jim had a rough year, but glad to hear they finally got it all addressed, hope he feels much better and quickly.

Congrats on the wedding - the photos are wonderful. Perhaps you will be lucky to hear the pitter patter of wee feet in the future.

Also congrats and kudos to you for your hard work in the medical can fight. My hat is off to you for fighting for the right to legally access something that works for many MS folks. Can't wait to see a snapshot of that ceremonial signing pen ;)

Glad you are back - don't wait so long to check in next time as we need your insight, humor and common sense

OMGoodness! This thread is current. I thought it was a really old thread resurrected. :D:D:D:D Glad to see you post again.

I know you have been so busy with Jim, the wedding, the MJ bill and your advocacy, and visiting with family. I'm glad things are starting to settle down for you. It's been quite a couple of years or so for you. We still have to do some catching up.:hug:
