I thought it was a subcutaneous patch

i find it odd that they don't make this clearer.

don't think you could deliver enough drug thru a neupro type agonist patch, plus i think with l-dopa you'd have to be able to quickly modify delivery during the day in advanced patients because of protein interference, etc. if a l-dopa patch was feasible you'd think we'd have had one a long time ago.

i think a carbidopa patch might have been in development.

Patch Insulin Pumps

Patch pump technology has been on the verge of breaking through for several years and now it may actually happen. Patch pumps are becoming popular because they avoid the tethered approach of current pumps. Instead of having your pump connected to your body via an infusion set and tubing, the patch pump is worn directly on the body, discreetly attached at the infusion site and wirelessly controlled with a separate device.

With the Omnipod already available, and others in development, we could see many more patch pumps in the near future. We have listed some of the pumps we have heard about already below. If you know of more, please let us know.

Very interesting, it must be some sort of patch pump. As you said, they certainly didn't give a lot of detail in their press releases.

Am I the only on who is very excited about this?

If this works, it could mean no need for Dbs or duodopa and would be so convenient!

I believe this has completed phase 2b and future clinical trials are being accelerated with backing from mjff.
