what kind of headache do you have?

I've been trying to figure out what kind of headache I have.

I have a constant dull ache on the left side back of my head with left neck soreness and left shoulder and back soreness. I also have light sensitiviy only in my left eye.

I'm not sure if this is a tension headache or migraine.

I also had a left chest contusion in January and my arm from it since then hasn't been really stiff and immobile. I'm wondering if this could be a factor to my left back, shoulder and neck muscle pain thus contributing to a headache?

I also thought about occiptical neuralgia. But my neuroophtamologist said that the pain characterized by that is usually a very prounounced shooting pain versus my constant dull pain.

Thank you so much everyone.

All kinds

I think it depends on the type of injury. I have had almost every type of head ache. But now I mostly have headaches from neck, eyes, ears, and head pressure. After a while you get better at knowing your triggers too.

My headaches mostly come from my eyes but the really bad ones are on my right side and are, I think, tension related and also related to the whip lash injury resulting from my fall.

Other than light/noise I find temperature swings to be a trigger for my headaches. Maybe due to barometric pressure???

Take care.
