From China to Panama, a Trail of Poisoned Medicine
http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles...07Medicine.htm
toxic syrup has figured in at least eight mass poisonings around the world in the past two decades. Researchers estimate that thousands have died. In many cases, the precise origin of the poison has never been determined. But records and interviews show that in three of the last four cases it was made in China, a major source of counterfeit drugs. |
yep....although I find that website you linked a bit...err..."extreme" clouds, yet it is sad and very troubling, isnt it, that we really dont know who is buying what from where and adding it to the foods and medicines we consume!
if I may jump on my http://www.thesmilies.com/smilies/ex...ve/soapbox.gif for a moment............ our family has made the choice to rework our budget to factor in only organic and "additive" free foods (fresh and groceries, dietary/health supplements, toiletries & cleaning products, yard and other stuff too where possible........I have even switched to homemade catfood and WheatScoop cat litter!!) I make everything I possibly can now from fresh and carefully picked ingredients and we are all (including the kitties) showing the benefits! as most here know, I am also very committed to always using a natural approach to healing too. I am not anti-med...I know the life saving and life changing benefits of prescription meds! But I am also concerned not just about the side effects, but also what is in them! I choose our dietary supplements and the ones we use for healthcare very carefully too...as again, what is in them and where they came from is VERY important to me. we dont have a large income and so yes, it is more expensive to live this way....BUT....the scales tip in favor of reduced healthcare costs, and, going "green"...I actually save on another end as prepackaged foods are far more expensive than the sum of their ingredients and I am now also making my own natural household cleaning products etc ( amazing how good white vinegar with added lavendar oil is as an all-purpose cleaner ) anyway, I will get off my http://www.thesmilies.com/smilies/ex...ve/soapbox.gif now, :o as you can tell...I feel pretty passionately about this too |
In 1985 a small number of producers of Austrian wine were found to be compensating for overproduction by adulterating their product with diethylene glycol. This made the wine appear sweeter and more full-bodied.[4] The amount added was not high enough to be immediately toxic (one would have to ingest about 28 bottles per day for two weeks); however, exports of Austrian wine collapsed. As a result strict regulations were imposed on Austrian winemakers, and the industry moved from the bulk production of somewhat sweet wines to lower yields of high quality dry wines. Thus the 'antifreeze scandal' is now regarded as having been positive for the industry in the long-term. [5]

Anti-consumer!

Hi Chemar....we're headed your way the 20th...going to visit the Fla Keys, staying in Marathon Key...will visit Bahia Honda State park daily!
It gives us a few days of sunshine...living in Oregon where the sun rarely shines has its downsides. But the mountains, the trees and the country living is awesome here. There was a program on Dish Network last night...really peaked my interest. It talked about how we consume sooo much, then pile it up in land fills. Trying to keep up with technology and massive junk from "Stuff-Marts" forces women out of the home, put kids in kiddie kennels so can have stuff! sad! Some people just can't live without their new toys....sad to see they trade their kidlets for this! Wow! But I'm just as bad....can never walk out of "Stuff-Mart" without some gizmo inported from China....but I just gotta have one! I waste so much money on shear crap and I feel so foolish every time I load stuff up to donate. If only we could learn to be happy with what we have...use it till its no longer working instead of just out of style like often is case. Same with clothing. You'll like this....last week at my favorite produce store they offered free bunches of aspargas....yum! The guy told me to take all of it if I wanted,it was going in the trash that nite anyway....so I was lucky! Wow....more than 40 bunches of fresh aspargas! On sale it sells for $1.50 a pound. He felt was not as fresh as should be....I couldn't see anything wrong with them. So took 2 huge cases/boxes of it home....soaked in water over nite. Next day I processed entire bunch, cut, blanched and froze all except enough to have some fresh for a few days....mmmmm! I have over 30 bags of frozen aspargus! I'm wondering how much they toss out when actually would be good enough to freeze? In the fall we can get free apples, end of summer peaches and apricots often only 10cents a pound! Easy to freeze them....just cut, put on cookie sheet atop wax paper....then put in those freezer storage bags...I like the ones that removes the air....can keep fresh for months! We have strawberries here like you wouldn't beleive! In end of May, early June, they're so sweet dont even need sugar, ever! Your family is so blessed to have a mom so careful with what goes into their bodies! We're pretty in tune with our food too. We're on this CHIP program. Pretty drastic diet...nothing processed....I do a lot of chopping, grinding and prepping, but turn out some awesome meals. My husband will not be getting the heart stints like all the men in his family! And his chest pains are gone now that he's cut out ALL fat! We don't eat anything with a face or a has a mother! Ground cashews make yummy "sour creams" and salad dressings! Don't have to wipe the grease out of your mouth like you do with fatty lardy stuff.....ewwww! Its not an easy diet to follow...but eating food as grown is best! My grandkids know I'm a much different gramma than the other one (they no longer see her...she ended up going back to IV drug using) But at our home...no video games, TV and junk food! My home made Tofu ice cream! Yes...they love it! Gramma granola! Running in the feild chasing butterflies, sand box and trampoline much better entertainment! Now...if I can just get them to eat those Porkipine ice cream cones! LoL! Blessings, cheryl Here's a few pics of things that makes us happy! New foal, Lilly born Easter Sunday. |
