Best known as Tony Soprano from The Sopranos, but a fantastic actor in everything he did, died yesterday at 51.

Was shocked he was only 51. I would have thought late 50s.

I heard that, on the radio. Sorry to hear about it. Sounded like he was on vacation with his 8yo son :(

I was listening to a radio interview with one of his costars on "the Sopranos". He was crying...said he hoped Jimmy knew how much everyone loved him.

Then he talked about how worried they all were about his health. He discussed how they were in a scene together that took 5 hours to complete. It was a scene in a restaurant-they were eating breakfast.
The actor said, "You know that every actor pretends to eat during a scene-they push their food around with their fork, stuff like that."
"Jimmy had steak and eggs for the scene...he ate 5 platefuls in the five hours it took to shoot. Five platefuls of steak and eggs!! I said, 'Jimmy, what about your cholesterol levels?"
"Jimmy grinned at me and said, "twenty five percent of my vessels are blocked."
"I said, 'My God, Jimmy!!"
"He responded to me, 'But 75 percent aren't..." and grinned...

so young...and foolish...
