How do I know what 'level' my claim is at?

I see some people talking about being able to check the status of their claims, and where their paperwork sets, how am I able to do that?

Thank you. I guess that since I did not file my claim online, I did not get a confirmation code, which it is asking for.

I'm sure you can sign up and then log in , some times conformation emails get sent in to your spam or junk mail box, so always check there if you don't get one.

When I was applying several years ago, the SSA had to mail out the confirmation code, it wasn't available online or via email. Once they mailed it out, I only had so many days (10 or 14 ? I forget) to log in and use the confirmation code.

I filed online and was given a confirmation code. My code was suppose to be valid for a year. I used the online check status to NO avail. I continually got a message saying Not Available at this time. (Everyday for weeks and weeks.) I finally called social security and was told they did not know why I got that message and they could not help me. I was NEVER able to check my status online. I got my denial letter in the mail. That was the only status I ever received. Good luck. Hope you can get a better answer than I got.
