Virginity...curse or blessing?

At what age should someone lose their virginity? In a sex-crazed culture, if you're a virgin, are you considered a freak? As someone who hasn't yet done the deed, I was wondering if I am cursed or blessed?

There isn't any certain age and I wouldn't even worry about that.
When the time is right, and hopefully you meet a very special person, then you will know.
There are still a few people that wait until marriage or at least until they meet the right "one".

I would say your blessed because you don't have to look back and realize that the person you were with wasn't necessarily the one for you. Alot of times (especially in our younger years) we think that the person we are with is the person I will be with for the rest of my life and I am in love with them. Well things change and so do you and you realize that he/she is not the one.

My neice is 27 and is still a virgin and I admire her for not settling and waiting till it feels right for her. No you are not a freak, in fact I think you are a very intelligent person to question this. Don't let society dictate what you do with your body. ...Sue

Blessed. You will meet someone special, and at that point, you will be strongly appreciated for your virginity. billie:hug:

You are definitely blessed and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. You'll find the right person and things will fall into place the way they should.

Unfortuananly, I lost my virginity when I was 20. I was in the Navy, and it happened in South Korea and it happened quickly and only one time. Need I say more.
BNut I waited until I was 24 and married for that second time and with my lifetime soul mate. We've been married now for 19 1/2 years. and have 2 beautiful little girls.
But, I would have pulled pout all of my teeth have gotten my virginity back before I met me wife. It was a mistake, I kew that going into it, and going out of it. I felt devistated.
Although, I am a staunch supporter of someone keeping their virginty until marriage, I am NOT a hypocrate. True hypocracy isnt doing something that is contrary to what we believe, for if that were the case, then we would all be in the same boat. No, True hypocracy is not learning our lesson, and doing it again. In other words, because I believe and know that what I did was wrong, I can honestly say that it is not hypocritical.
But, iam getting off of the subject here aren't I?
When you give yourself over to somebody totaly, giving them axcess to your most intimant regions freely, and unashamedly, without regret, it should be with a person whom you should not only commit your body to, but also your heart, soul and mind.
Sex in that kind of relationship is called 'making love'. And when you commit tosomeone body m ind heart and soul, then you have found someone with whom you can commit to. and that person, must respect you enough to wait until that commitment if fullfilled.
Sex is FANTASTIC, but it is even better when it is with someone whom you can commit your whole life to.

What "culture" are you referring to? I'm in the U.S., and while we are less repressed than some cultures, we are more repressed than others, and that arguably has a lot to do with the history of our culture.

Bottom line: status, age, reasons, etc. are nobody's business but your own.

Are you cursed/blessed? Rhetorical question: How do you feel about it, because your opinion is the only one that matters.

You are blessed. It is a gift. Only share it with someone who will respect it and appreciate it. When you find someone who deserves it and you are comfortable, then it's ok, but don't lose it for the sake of losing it. I'm 20 and still a virgin. I'm in a relationship with an amazing guy and we're waiting until we're married. Sex isn't everything! :D
