Sleeping on Back Problems
I've heard that sleeping on your back is the most healthiest position to be in. However, I've always been a stomach sleeper and that is the unhealthiest sleep position. I've been trying to become more healthier is all areas dealing with the physical since I have multiple sclerosis, and the one area that I haven't achieved yet is sleeping on my back. I've tried for hours but never can achieve this. Does anyone know a trick to doing this?

I used to be..........
A BACK sleeper.
Was trained by physical therapist to sleep on side with a body pillow since it is a more spine neutral position for me and my injured spine. I never heard of Back Sleeping as being a great thing..... Have a great day, Walker! :) |
I sleep on my side....when I sleep on my back I have problems breathing.

Not being able to breathe easily on your back, is one symptom of
mitral valve prolapse. You should probably discuss this with your doctor. Other things like hiatal hernias also can slip up into the chest, and give a compression feeling. I have this, because I have a birth defect called malrotation. |
Well I have found a way to help me sleep on my back persay and it feels so much better this way - my grandmother gave me a pillow that is slanted so I can sleep on my back, but not flat
