Hello all,
Just joined, my first post....i really would love help issues with insomnia and schizophrenia...not for myself for my mother....shes had insomnia issues for years being addicted to sleeping pills for decades....im trying to get her off of them for some time....tried many things and recommendations.....some work, some not or for a little while do help some....due to the fact that two years ago this month she had an operation on her fractured femur so her pain continues...she also has tinnitus, all this contributes more in her insomnia..... shes bed ridden and uses a walker but does move from room to room with pain, but shes also afraid to fall again....i blame the sleeping pills for this....because i believe its what caused it in the first place....for getting up one night and she fell....now...she also has slight schizophrenia but not all the time....again sleeping pills i read maybe the cause as well.....looking into and reading about certain amino acids that may help her on that but not sure if i should give them to her.....its hard because...shes on certain meds and am afraid to stop her from taking them so they wont interfere with some supplements i found out was good for her especially in the pain dept....another issue she has is urinary incontinence she has to wear pull ups, all the time to prevent leakage....sigh.....so many problems she has....i wish i could take it all away from her.....make her well....my father passed away...around two years ago....i dont want to lose her....as well....she has no one that worries more for her than i....me being a health nut....isnt easy to take care of her, with diet and supplements....hopefully i can find some help here.....would appreciate all suggestions....
