Most of the fireworks displays are cancelled in my area due to the torrential rain we've been having. But I'll take this cool weather and rain over the scorching heat the rest of the country is having. I hope they get some relief soon.

Sorry to hear this because DD an family just drove to a suburb of Atlanta,
to spend the 4th weekend with a friend.:eek:

Depending on where they go will determine how much rain they'll get. I think the areas near creeks, streams and rivers are in the most danger of flooding. We've had some heavy rain here where I live (NE of Atlanta) but nothing too bad. I hope they get some dry hours in between the downpours!

Wow, I have LOTS of family in Cumming! It's just a little north of me.....and they're probably getting pretty drenched about now. It's thundering here and the sky is heavy with dark clouds. Just looked out and it's raining. But the temps are in the 70's so I'm happy! :cool:

From my house I only see a few roofs of neighbors, but there are campers just south of my house. Their fireworks will scare my dog and keep me watching my dry yard.

I do like a good professional fireworks display.
