SCS Trial Tomorrow

So I'm still a little scared, but hopeful.
My CRPS is in my left arm and hand so the doc will still insert leads in my lower back to prevent "spread".
The nurse never did call me back with all the pre-op instructions. This is short notice but if anyone knows what to do/not do please tell me.
I NEED ADVICE!
I have followed a lot of your stories on this subject and it helps so much
to have this support group.
Thanks!

O
I can help you a little. Nothing to eat or drink after midnight. No candy,no gum. I would push the fluids until midnight, that way you will be more hydrated. I hope that they gave you a time to be there!
I generally tell patients to bring a current medication list with dose and frequency. No money. Insurance cards and a photo ID. Wear a shirt that opens in the front. No arms above head. Also loose jeans or sweatpants. If you have problems with anesthesia like nausea, let them know.
Good Luck!

my advice is to buy a body pillow, so that when you come home you can find a comfortable position, they cost around $30 any medical supply store sells them.
good luck, and may it go easy.

Leave your Jewelry at HOME

I even took off the wedding ring, as it is not allowed either. Leave it home where it is safe.

Pooh gave good advice. Great to follow. That body pillow? Well, I use one every single night. Yup,
May all be well!
