More frequent erections

I'm 32 and never had problems getting easy erections in the past. I have had some stress and gained some weight and i haven't gotten as aroused as i used to. What could be the cause of this and what are the best ways to get back to the normal me?

Hi Jay,

Looking through some of your other posts, you appear to be a pretty smart guy, so you likely know this already...

We (males) peak sexually at around age 18, so it's (albeit gradually) all downhill from there. We tend not to notice much difference during our 20s, but around 30ish, we begin to notice things like this (and muscle changes, weight control, others) more than we did during the previous decade. Of course some of this has to do with genetics, over which we have no control.

What kind of stress are we talking about, and what kind of weight gain? Both are going to affect sexual function/response to some extent.

Best advice I can suggest (aside from seeing your doctor) is what you suggested to someone else in another forum -- watch your diet and get some exercise (both of those affect stress & weight).

You are a pretty young guy but to rule out a potential physical factor I'd suggest getting your testosterone level checked.

To reduce stress I have found both meditation and yoga to be helpful.

I cant get erection and can't feel orgasm because of a brain injury. I try not to think about it becaue I would probably go crazy knowing I was never going to have sex again at 45. brain injury was caused by a doctor's incompetence and yes I hate him with every ounce of hate in my body, and yes I know it's no good for me to hate.

High blood pressure and cholesterol can affect your sex life too.Have them checked.
