lower back and left side pain under ribs
 

hello- I've been having lower back pain and pain above my left hip and under rib cage. Had X-rays taken and are ok. Dr. put me on phy-therapy with no relief. Going in next week for an MRI. The pain is worse when i strech from side to side and walking alot. Been going on for 4 months now and no relief!! and help would be great.....:confused:

Did the pain start after some sort of injury?
Or out of the blue with no clear cause?

Post your MRI report when you get it.

I guess if PT isn't helping at all I would think about stopping it , or try a different place /PT person or maybe a good chiropractor.
But I would keep going to a place that is not making you feel better.
Sometimes another person has better skills or techniques and will be helpful.

A good chiro might help if MRI shows OK. Personally I started seeing 1 last due to low back pain and after 3 visits I feel a lot better. Still a ways to go but it really is helping
