Spinal Cord Lesion

Could someone please give me some english on this..I appreciate the help

The lesion on the cord at the T10-11 space level has signal characteristics suggesting prior hemorrhage. It is most likely a cavernous angioma. Other lesions are possible but less likely. There is no enhancement associated with the change, this would make ependymoma less likely. The lack of prominent veins dorsal to the could would make bleed related to AVM less likely as well.
Consideration could be given to performance of mr brain which should include gradient echo imaging to determine if there are any intracranial cavernous angiomas which would help confirm this diagnosis.

Hi Ponderit

I can help a bit. First I want to welcome you to Neuro talk. You will find alot of support here, no matter what the medical issue. I did a bit of digging around about your condition. Cavernous angioma is what happens when there is a slow blood vessel. Not getting enough blood flow. In Kids it is usually intracranial, in adults it is spinal. Ependymoma usually is in the 4th ventrical. The MRI should show that. AVM is an abnormal group of blood vessials and they will want to make sure that is not occuring. They also mentioned intracranial cavernous angiomas, and may want to check with a scan there too, just to make sure you are OK. Ask all the questions you can to your doctor. Keep a journal of any symptoms you have and that will help your doctor too with treatment. I can research that for you also if you would like. I am here and I do care. Take good care of yourself. ginnie:grouphug:
