Medication side effects and life in general

Hi all, haven't been on here much lately. Too much stress and too much going on.

I finally got my neuro to get me set up with prescription assistance for Nuvigil. I took the med for two days last week and had to stop. I got a horrible neck pain that went up into the top of my head and my eyes whenever I stood up, my bp went up to 148/112, jittery the first day. I felt so horrible I couldn't get up out of the chair, and... it didn't even give me any energy! Oh yeah and I couldn't sleep while taking it.

Is it possible that all of this was the meds, or could some be coincidence. Apparently there was some kind of cold going around town that caused the horrible neck pain. I just find it odd that it almost completely went away the day I didn't take the meds. I will call my neuro today and ask her opinion.

My hubby applied for a paid position on our local fire department again and didn't get it, so he is really upset and I just want to break down because nothing I do helps him. :( A lot of people in the community are very upset that he didn't get it.

I had my social security hearing on Tuesday and my lawyer got the judge to agree that a letter from my doctor saying, that she is comfortable saying that the symptoms from my diseases went back several years before I saw her and were disabling then, would be helpful. My lawyer has three weeks to get that to the judge then we will get his written decision 30 days after that.

His comment was, "I don't want to call her (meaning me) a liar, but when the doctor reported that her symptoms went back four years from 2008 that is just the doctor reporting what the patient said right?"

Later, after looking through my charts some more ,he said that at least with all the different doctors I went to in that time I was consistent in my complaints. Well duh!!! It was the same stupid problem for the whole time the doctors just weren't diagnosing it! Even my lawyer said that without me even mentioning it to him!

You can clearly see in my medical records that the problems went back to 2004 (we only have to prove back to September 2006) but the doctors just weren't getting the diagnosis!

I am so stressed and upset over my hubby not getting the job on Monday and the hearing on Tuesday that I feel like somebody beat me up! I feel sick to my stomach and have even less energy than before!

Well, I guess I better get up and try and do some housework. Thanks for letting me vent!
