Scheuermann's disease and Scoliosis

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this group and I was hoping for some advice. I have Scheuermann's disease and Scoliosis, which I didn't find out until about 5 years ago. You see I have a twin sister who has CP, so no one really worried about me. I have had some major health issues all my life but because my parents had my sister to worry about I was sort of pushed to the side.
That is until I met my husband, who pushed me to go see a doctor. When I got the results back I was shocked. My parents and sister always made me feel like it was just in my head, and that I was just trying to get them to pay attention to me.
I guess the advice I need is that I have no idea where to go from here. I have asthma, and quite a few mental issues to go along with it. I'm just afraid at this point. It seems like the older I get the worse my back gets, and I have no clue on what to do. My PCP has never heard of it, nor can he find someone who has, or who will help. I've been told that I will probably end up in a wheelchair soon and that terrifies me. Please help me if you can.

~Nichole
