Coming off of Rebif ok?

I wanted to ask this as a mentioned in previous posts. Have anyone ever come off of Rebif cold turkey and had bad side effects from it?

I think you should be fine although I have never taken Rebif. These drugs are not exactly addictive drugs.

Saying that....I was taking betaseron shots for 11 years and stopped cold turkey with no issues what so ever.

Stopping a DMD won't cause side effects. Other than not having the site reactions from the shots.....which would be a good thing.

With the exception of Tysabri!! It has been reported, that if
you stop Tysabri, your symptoms could get worse.

I had bad side effects from Rebif so when I came off of it I did not feel worse. But then I started Copaxone right away and that is what I am currently taken and have for over five years total. Rebif is a very strong interferon and I had worsening depression and terrible anxiety while on it for five months. But for some people it works great, go figure!

If your doctor thinks Copaxone would work for you, and you could manage a daily shot, and rotate injection sites carefully, you might consider it because it has the longest safety track record and with the least side effects. They are coming out with a new version sometime this year that is only taken three days a week as well, and I will be first on that list when it is available.
