Man In Wheelchair Found In Ditch

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- A city of Tallahassee foreman was in the right place at the right time to save a man whose wheelchair had overturned in a ditch.

James Hunter was making a routine inspection of the ditches on a dead-end road yesterday when he found the man who had been stuck there since Sunday.

Hunter helped the man out of the ditch and then called police and paramedics.

Hunter said the man was taken to a hospital for a hand injury. He said the man was dehydrated but seemed to be in good spirits.

The man, who had not been identified, lived nearby and had been riding along the road when he fell in the ditch.

Wow that's shocking, poor fellow had been there since Sunday? :eek: Glad that he was found and helped. Thanks for sharing this, I hope we hear more about how he came to fall down into the ditch. :(
