And from today's NY times--

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/08/he...ml?ref=science

Notice Peter Green's quote, and the mention of Alba.

The article does leave the question of whether there is wider gluten sensitivity beyond frank celiac hanging in the air, though,

Anyone want to send the writer links to some of Dr. H's papers?

I like this article because it brings the controversy right out into the open.

Quote:

“A lot of alternative practitioners like chiropractors have picked up on it and are waving around magic silver balls, crystals and such, telling people they have gluten intolerance,” said Dr. Don W. Powell, a gastroenterologist at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
I think it would be great to have some of the GS Dream Team respond to this~ especially in regard to those who do have clinical evidence of gluten sensitivity, yet without celiac disease.

Thanks for the post, Glenn!

Why are doctors always SO dismissive of patients? Wow, what a huge lack of respect.
