Vasectomy & CRPS/RSD?

Hoping I can ask a personal question of the men on the forum that suffer from RSD.

My husband has had RSD for about 8 years now & we are all too familiar with how it spreads. Several years ago, in an attempt to diagnose him, his Dr did an angiogram - this is where they stick a catheter up through the femoral artery in the groin region. Immediately upon waking from the procedure he could tell it had spread & has dealt with pain in his groin area ever since.

My question to you is this, have any of you had a vasectomy since being diagnosed? & if so, did you suffer any additional negative consequences?

The reason for my question is because I'm dealing with some health issues that are going to require me to move away from hormonal birth control options - My husband said he'd rather go have a vasectomy than have me get my tubes tied but I'm concerned it will cause him further complications.

Thanks so much for any feedback you can provide!!

Given the spread he has already had I would say it's virtually certain to cause it to start there. Even the slightest trauma can cause it to spread or start at the truams site. my first was from the use of a sensitvity in 4ins outside the affected area. It started in both legs when my grandson trod on my toes

All I know is I have recurring burning deep to incisions for a hernia operation and appendectomy that occurred after my onset of CRPS. My pain doc was telling me of his worst patient outcome who had been a pilot, went in for a vasectomy and a nerve was damaged. The pain post-op was so severe and a short time later due to CRPS onset, he did himself in....
