Medication question - scared?
 

Ok I wanted to ask this - I've been in a lot of pain so I took 200mg of Tramadol and 70mg of Balcofen. Is this too much?? ?

It seems like you took double the dose of tramadol. nothing to panic about but don't you have a prescription that tells you how much to take. don't be scared though. its not an insane amount. but in the future go by what the doctor said. I used to take tramadol for spine and head pain.

im just hurting and i know that when i did take 100mg of tramadol it didn't work. what about the balcofen??

I don't know about the baclofen as I've nevere taken it but you would have ben sick by now if you were going to be. don't worry but please go by what the doctor says. I am sorry your in pain, I hope the medicine is helping a little.

My suggestion is the next time you have a medication question such as this one, call a pharmacy. They will be able to help you out and advise you. My pharmacist is part of my medical team and I don't hesitate to call if I have a question about my medications or if I have accidentally double dosed on a med, which I have done before.:rolleyes:

Also in addition to the physical dangers of taking too much medication please be wary over-using pain medications if you want to continue receiving them from your physician.

With many of these pain medications if you start taking more you will continue to need more to treat your pain. Tramadol although not considered an opiate works on the same receptors and can be addictive.

Physicians, with good reason, can refuse to continue treating a patient who is not taking their medications as prescribed and its not difficult to figure out.
