Crps

Hello
I am new to Neuro Talk. My story starts when I was pinned between a car and 4 wheeler. My left lower leg was hit by a 4 wheeler, pinning me to a car. I got compartment syndrome which led to 2 surgeries releasing all 4 compartments in my leg. I then was diagnosed with CRPS after a long time of not figuring out what was wrong. In November of 2012 I had a SCS put in. It does help with pain to an extent. I still have pain that requires pain medication but I try to never take it. I was recently diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. I would like to talk with people that have similar problems because I am feeling very frustrated and sad. I would love for people to tell me how they get through the tough times. I try to stay positive but sometimes feel defeated.

Hi Pashe, so sorry to hear you have this awful monster! I have had RSD/CRPS for 22 1/2 years now and have two SCS's (thoracic & cervical). In Dec 2011, I hurt my right foot. That was on top of having developed planters fasciitis in it...boy did that hurt! For the planters fasciitis, the dr tried many things and ended up giving me a steroid injection in my foot and put me in a boot. That part of my foot healed and then he diagnosed me with RSD in my foot where I hurt it (from my toes down the side of my foot and up around my ankle). I was not in the boot long because that stabilization is not good for RSD/CRPS.

You came to the right place for support, as we can all relate to the pain and frustration you are feeling. I myself have days where I get through better than others. Thankfully my husband helps me through all days, especially the most difficult ones and the support I find here helps too :)

Well, I gotta go to bed now...had an allergic reaction to something and took some Benadryl....sleepy now :winky:

Wishing you all the best!

Thanks you for the notes. I am hoping to talk with a lot of people and see how they deal with it. I am ok at times but other times I am terrible. The plantar fasciitis is very painful and I believe it makes the CRPS worse. I don't know wish I could figure this out. I tried therapy with the plantar fasciitis and 1 injection but nothing has worked yet

Thank you for the replies. I am happy to talk with people who suffer like me. I am trying to figure out my added feature of plantar fasciitis. I am not sure if that is what making my CRPS worse or if something is just irritating it.
