I know this is not a recent post, but I often check in and re-read this article as I always found it very confusing and confounding. I mean, they really don't conclude that the actual method of induction or augmentation of labour increases the odds of ASD. They suggest that the odds are increased in induced/augmented labours but that could be due to many other factors. I mean, I would find it extremely difficult to believe that in the very last day of a pregnancy during labour that the outcome of the child having ASD was not already decided.

Anyway, on the subject of oxytocin, I read this last week over at PsychCentral and it confounded me even more. Oxytocin has been in the news a fair bit lately and I am shocked that doctors would be prescribing Oxytocin off-label and I had never heard of it being tested in people who had what they called "social deficits" before.
