Cervical Spine MRI
Hi! I am new here and been suffering from an auto injury (whiplash) for over a year now (more like 1yr. 8mos.). However, just had an MRI a week ago and now I am seeking for help in interpreting the impressions listed on my results. As well as how serious can this be and what options do I have or what is best for me. The following are my MRI results:
IMPRESSION: 1. There are changes of mild degenerative disc disease with posterior osteophyte formation in the mid-cervical spine, as described. 2. At C3-C4. There is right paracentral disc protrusion with osteophyte formation causing mild spinal canal stenosis. There is no neural foraminal narrowing or nerve root impingement. 3. At C4-C5. There is central disc protrusion with osteophyte formation causing mild spinal canal stenosis. There is no neural foraminal narrowing or nerve root impingement. 4. At C5-C6. There is right paracentral disc protrusion with osteophyte formation causing mild spinal canal stenosis. There is no neural foraminal narrowing or nerve root impingement. 5. The remainder of the cervical spine is normal in appearance without evidence ofspinal canal stenosi, neural foraminal narrowing or nerve root impingement. 6. There is straightening of the normal cervical lordosis with mild reversal from c3-c4 through c5-c6. Seeking Help, Chamoritagurl |

Hello Olveragirl,
It looks like chamoritagurl only made the one post in 2013. What are your symptoms? Do you have constant pain or off & on? Do you know of any possible cause? accident/injury etc? |
