Hi, I am usually under the neuropathy group, because I have verry widespread terrible neuropathy.
Can any one tell me a link to a good description of scleroderma skin lesions?
Thanks

I had seen this one. I was looking for a very spsific form of lesions. Lesions are more like nodules right under the skin. on legs., and they are hard.
Was just wondering if there could be a conection to scleroderma, but luckily, hopefully not. All bloodtest for that was negative, and my hands look OK. (I do have occational Reynolds sign) They are probably related to the leukocytoclastic vasculitis I have. Bur the terrible neuropathy I have with it and the cause of it has not yet been diagnosed.
I do have Gi problems like gastrophoresis and swallowing problems related to autonomic neuropathy.
I have sensory motor polyneuropathy all manifested by EMG and tilt table test as well as gastric emptying studies. I also have a very sore nose and gums, ( had 2 episodes of mild epistaxis all seen by ENT doctor.)
But they have not come up with any autoimmune diagnosis other than leukocytoclastic vasculitis with (terrible) neuropathy.
So, I am just being managed with symptom control of the neuropathy, and for the vasculitis, Methatrexate.

Scleroderma

Not up on Scleroderma totally but could a lot of this be from it? Is yours systemic or localized? Also, from what I have learned is that Raynaud's can be a precursor of this. Not always but can be.

I know one person now who is dealing with systemic Scleroderma. It has progressed unbelievably fast. This is despite everything - specialists, medicine, etc. - that is being done. Time will tell. It started with Raynaud's but not to say that it will go further for others.

I cannot seem to find very many pictures of it. You probably have been seeing the same that I've seen. Here is an article I just found concerning vasculitis and Scleroderma.

thank you Kitt for this link. The link has a lot of information. I will hold on to it. I do have auto immune issues.
Right now I am on a stand still as far as diagnostics goes, so I am trying to research and look for answers. I also have to be on top of things,
I do have vasculitis (small vessels) and for now, it is being thought that the neuropathy is from that.
I do have a network of good doctors,
The skin lesions I have now is different from the vasculitis lesions.

I apreciate this forum so much. And thank you again for this link.

You are welcome. You do know that Scleroderma is an auto immune disease. Hope you get to the bottom of it all. Take care.

You can always PM me if you want to. :winky:
