TOS chest pain
Does anyone wake up or suffer from chest pain from TOS under the breast area. Sharp short pains that go away with movement or change with it.

Some have had spasms in the inter coastal muscles - between the ribs.
I had those 1 time and it was like my rib cage was tight and vibrating, breathing deep was very hard to do, makes you think you might be having a heart issue even.. Is yours on your worst TOS side? anything lately that could have set off some bad spasms for you? |
I think bad posture and sleeping position. Also lots of stress. It does feel like gas pain and feels like it moves around. Change of posture helps. Laying flat. Both sides are bad. Maybe sleep issuesince I wake up feeling it sometimes then gets a little better with stretch.
The moving around does feel like spasms Quote:

Could be some trigger points too.
http://www.pressurepointer.com/Press...nterManual.pdf That chart doesn't show them, but you can get them in the ribcage muscles too, feel for very sore spots to locate them. |
Yes, I get spasms in my intercostals. They suck. :(
Sometimes I can diminish them using various balls: * Per Art Ando PT, laying face down on a small yamuna with my arm hanging over the side * Per the same PT, laying face down across a melt roller, starting at the bottom of the sternum and moving up over time. Discussed here in the forums on other threads. * Rubbing a yoga therapy ball, or tennis ball, or lacrosse ball, around the area. Other stuff: * Use my fingers. I press on the sore spots. Rub them. Press the ribs in. * Stress aggravates them so anything that opposes that. I still like the Infinite Relaxation app voiced by Andrew Johnson and developed by Michael Schneider. * Poor posture will increase their occurrence. HTH |
