Hydration: stronger or weaker?

Hi,I was just going through some old posts, and I came across one thing multiple times, but I have no idea what it means.

In an old post, someone says that hydration has an influence on your muscle tests. But how does that work? Does being you hydrated mean you have better muscle transmission or worse?
And, just to be sure: does the hydration mean of the skin (sfEMG wise) or just drinking water?

Hi Ravenclaw :)

I am sorry, I don't know the answer to this but I would also be interested in the answer as I have nerve/muscle tests next week!! I notice in some of the guidance information online for the preparation of the tests its says to be well hydrated...so I assume that would give a more accurate test result?

Hopefully someone will reply who knows the answer!
