Update on me (also my friend's baby)

First me: still having quite a few problems with my thoracic stim turning itself off. Diagnostic tests say only 2 contacts are dead, so no reason at this point to why. The only way to really know is to open up and see. Since my rsd is systemically widespread and it's just a minor annoyance, we are just going to let it ride.

I've been falling again.ive also been having time blackouts where I lose track of 15-30 minutes at a time. It's happened twice now. Going to a neuro psych and neuro biologist Monday.

The fall this time left me with a sprained neck, separated shoulder, pulled tendons, in right wrist, grade 3 left ankle sprain, almost every tendon and ligament is out of place, a fractured right ankle, and a mild concussion. I am starting to get really worried about the falls, but not sure whom to speak with. I don't know how to stop them. I'm worried one day it's going to knock a stim cord loose, and I sure don't want another surgery. I even moved the wheel chair into the house and just don't go into our step down parts.

I'm at a loss. I seem to be flying downhill. I'm not sure what brought on this rapid chain of bad events.

So that's me.

Baby Jaxyn is still hanging in there. He weighs about 1 pound 6 oz. he had a hole in his heart which they had scheduled surgery to close. They did an echo right before surgery, and miraculously, the hole loses on its own. Now, he has hat they're afrid is an intestinal blockage. This would also be an extremely risky surgery to such a tiny little baby. Please keep this family in your prayers!!! He's a fighter, that one.

Anyway, I hope all of you are well. I think you all often, and hope everyone is having better days than I am. Have a good Sunday!

xoxo,
TK

Hi TK! Thanks for the update on you and Jaxyn. I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time. These falls are not a good thing, although I am not sure what type a dr youe should see. Hopefully someone will chime in with help on that one. I know that everytime I went to the neurologist, they asked me if I had any recent falls. Maybe the neurologist is the place to start?? I hope you can get some resolution and relief real soon!!

Praying for you and Jaxyn! Glad he is still hanging in there and fighting :)

All the best,
Nanc

Hi TK!

It's great to hear from you!

I'm so sorry you are struggling with these issues. I'm glad you are scheduled with these Drs. I agree with Nanc, regarding seeing a Neurologist.......if it has 'Neuro' at the beginning, you're headed in a good direction :)

I hope there is something that can be done. I'm sure this is very frightening to you. They'll run tests until they get some answers.
Surely these Dr's will have some strategies that will help. Please let us know what they say.

I continue to hold you in my prayers.

Thanks for the update on little Jaxyn. what a precious little guy.

Caring Always,
Rae

TK!!

I feel so sad to learn of this state of affairs regarding your situation overall.... it is absolutely awful! So, I pray....that all will be well. I know not what else to do but turn it over to another who has far more into this process and our care than little old me.

Baby Jaxyn has quite a go of it. Glad indeed to learn the heart tested healed without need for intervention. Sad to see a blockage in the GI tract may need work. Prayin for that and the family too.

Ever caring, :smileypray: :smileypray: :smileypray: :smileypray:
