restless arms at night.
 

Hi,
I have had restless legs once in awhile. And awhile for me is maybe 5 times in my life. Im a 36 yr old female. The few times i have had restless legs was due to me always on my feet. From working 12hrs and taking care of 3 teenagers. To me it was more of a tired leg feeling. But in the last 6 months i have only had that in my arms. And worse than my legs. Wakes me up from a normal sleep. It lasts for hours. 2 or more. Sometimes all night(no sleep). I will shake my arms, do butterflies, rest my elbows on my knees clasp my hands and just shake my arms til they are numb which lasts for a few mins. Then the need to move and agitation starts again. There are times where i just cry because it wont stop. I have tried talking to my dr... Which of course he's never heard of restless arm symdrone. Even with sleeping aids i can get 2 or 3 hours of sleep, then back up again. Does anyone have a suggestion on what professional i should contact next, since my dr doesn't know.
