live in cali but case sent to arkansas???????????
I was wondering if this was going to hurt me. I live in California and filed here of course. My case was subbed out to Arkansas due to work over load. Since California has a higher acceptance rate at the first filing stage than Arkansas did I just get screwed?

You're not screwed. I filed in N.J. which is the state I live in. However, my claim was handled in Penna. and Wash. D.C. because of N.J. 5-10 year backlog.
States w/backlogs have no choice but to farm out claims. From beginning to end, my case/claim lasted 3 1/2 yrs because it was farmed out. My ALJ hearing was held at a vacant Home Depot! |
I would not worry about your claim being processed in another state if I were you electric. I live in VA and my case was handled by MD because of VA's backlog. I was approved within 3 months of applying and on the first try. I understand that approval on the first try is rare, but it can happen.
