To All Mothers

A Mothers Love

A Mother’s Love will never die
It’s yours to keep forever
A Mother’s Love will always shine
Even through stormy weather
A Mother’s Love will give you hope
To help you follow your dreams
A Mother’s Love will give you faith
To face whatever life brings
A Mother’s Love will hold you close
In times of sorrow
But most of all
A Mother’s Love will still be there
Long after all tomorrows….
Love Always

I receive this in my church bulletin today and wanted to share.

Mother’s First

The word mother generally conjures up within our minds thoughts of harmlessness, purity, love, and devotion.

As we remember our mother’s day, here is something to share with you which your mother at the beginning of your life.

Who gave you your first glass of water?
Who sang the first song to you?
Who heard your first word spoken?
Who taught you how to walk?
Who taught you to talk?
Who taught you how to be quiet?
Who put a Band-Aid on your first booboo?
Who cleaned up your first mess?
Who bought you your first toys?
Who gave you your first hug?
Who gave you your first kiss?
Who first rocked you to sleep?
Who first worried when you were sick?
Who first dressed you?
Who first listened when you had a problem?
Who first took you to worship?
Who first read you a story?
Who first read to you the Bible?
Who first corrected you when you made a mistake?
Who first gave you a cookie to make you feel better?
Who first said, “I love you” before you even knew what love was all about?

We own a debt of gratitude to our mothers. Whether our mothers are living or weather they have passed to their reward, on this day, less honor them and remember the great things did for us in our lives.

Share with my mother? LOL, I need to send it to my sons!

But thanks, it's beautiful.

Mother's Day was always a tough one for me. I could never find a card that said "To the mother who's never been there for me" or "To the mother who hates my guts."

When I became a mother, I gave it my all. "Mom" is the only label I wear proudly. My son tells me I did a good job. All these years I believed him, but now I feel like I've let him down by encouraging him to join the military. :(

I'll be spending my Mother's Day missing my son and hoping my label won't be taken away over the next two years. I'll probably look like Chris Farley's SNL character - smacking myself on the head while repeating "stupid, stupid, stupid!"

To all the mothers: Take good care of your children.

To all the children: Take good care of your mothers.

Your mother is always with you...

She's the whisper of the leaves
as you walk down the street.

She's the smell of bleach
in your freshly laundered socks.

She's the cool hand on your brow
when you're not well.

Your mother lives inside your laughter.
She's crystallized in every tear drop.

She's the place you came from,
your first home...
She's the map you follow
with every step that you take.

She's your first love
and your first heart break...
and nothing on earth can separate you.

Not time, Not space...
Not even death...
will ever separate you
from your mother...

You carry her inside of you...

Mother’s Are...

Mother’s Are...

Blowers of noses and washers of ears,
Smoothers of bumped spots and wipers of tears,
Bathers of babies and umpires of spats,
Finders of boots and mittens and hats,
Helpers with lessons and makers of beds,
Shakers of dust clothes and combers of heads,
Button-sew-oners and winders of clocks,
Menders of dresses and darners of socks,
Tellers of stories and readers of books,
Doctors of heartaches and hearer of prayers,
Generals directing all family affairs,
Tenders of home fires and builders of men,
(Oh, for the gift of an adequate pen!)

The Influence of Mothers

Notes from children’s to their Moms on past Mother’s Days. Here a few samples.

“Dear Mother, I am going to make dinner for you on Mother’s Day. It’s going to be a surprise. P.S I hope you like pizza and popcorn.” – Angie, age 8

“I got you a turtle for Mother’s Day. I hope you like the turtle I got you this year for Mother’s Day better than the snake last year.” – Robert, age 8

“Dear Mother, I wish Mother’s Day wasn’t always on Sunday. It would be better if it were on Monday so we wouldn’t have to go to school.” – Eileen, age 9

And here’s my favorite. : Dear Mother, Here are two aspirins. Have a Happy Mother’s Day.” – Carol, age 8
