Someone told me too much B-12 can interrupt other vitamins?
 

I just got off the phone with a friend of mine. She said HER friend, who used to have Fibromyalgia, swears by colon cleansing. That it cures everything that's wrong with a sick body. This person also told her that if you take too much B-12, it can interfere with the absorbtion of other vitamins. Her friend told her I'm taking too much B-12.

You can imagine what my response was.

Rose, (or anybody who knows about B-12), well I'd like if you could answer that for me.

I'd say they got it backwards. B12 is a very large molecule and must jump through an extraordinary number of hoops to be usable and storable. Just about anything can interfere with its absorption when a person malabsorbs severely.

I haven't seen any evidence that even extremely high levels of B12 interfere with anything. If there is such evidence, I would certainly want to see it.

I am sooo happy for you. I wish everyone could be helped, and that everyone who is helped could see such quick progress.

Don't become discouraged if your great energy takes a temporary dive. It is common for the easy repairs to make it seem to be a quick and easy fix, followed by the body getting down to the more difficult repairs and drawing heavily on energy.

Also, make sure you are getting iron-rich and potassium-rich foods.

There are 2 guys on tv who have written books on that grabage your friend
was trying to tell you. She is going to end up depleted of everything.

I am so worried about Bob,can you believe and bless his heart. The Spine
Dr. took blood Tests because i asked,he's very Amenic,he's been having
trouble with his kidneys,and has osteoprosis. He told me he called that goof
of a family Dr. and faxed him everything.. I callled the 2 day wait,the spine
asked me 2. I told nurse does the Dr. ever do any fast tests on Bob uhhh
was the answer. I asked nicely get 1 done before he saw Dr. and i wanted
all blood tests done on Bob over the last 2 years he had been going there.
Why she asks i tell her i want to make a chart on Bob so the above doesn't
happen again. Well just who are you bla bla.The one who is going to make
you sick saids i. We got there the same old junk,well he is 78 yrs. old,bla
I got up and said he's amenic he was exactly like what Rose said on his
way to a nursing home.I told him i wanted all of Bob's records and i would
be happy to help the nurse. Bob's keeps saying but i like him. I told Bob
do you think you can entertain your 4 girlfriends in a nursing home,he got
up and asked for any papers he had to sign. We got all the records and
left.

So he read Rose site,had no trouble understanding it,what he didn't
understand was why this Dr. would let so many people go to nursing
homes. I just hope he will be ok,he has my Dr. arranging all the tests
at the University Hospitals with all the right Drs. If i feel he needs more
help i will get him to Portland Or. his sister and my daughter live by a great
hospital. there. I'm sorry to vent but gezzz my Mom would have a fit.

You just ignore what that friend,no tell her to read Neurotalk,because
she's going to need help,and soon. It's so sad our elders don't have more
advocates to help them. Mel you would be so good at that. :)

Well, when my friend called me earlier, I simply told her that I posted her information on the boards. She said "I knew you would do that, and I knew you wouldn't believe a word of what my friend said about the B-12 and colon cleansing".

I replied: "There is nothing wrong with colon cleansing and if she wants to clean her colon, that's just fine with me, but she has the wrong information on B-12". I then explained what I read on the boards.

She said her friend won't believe anything I say and I replied "that's fine". I mean, what am I supposed to say. Everybody is entitled to their own beliefs and interpretations.

She explained her friend goes to religious meetings and learns all about vitamins. I said "really,??? at religious meetings, they talk about vitamins??". Never heard of that one.

But whatever works for ya, that's what I say!!!

I told Bob about the Colon Cleansing, he laughed and said That's what
you do before that scope checks for Colon cancer. Where did she hear
about this colon cleansing??? I told him in religous classes,boy Mel
you made his day. When he stops laughing,i 'll tell him to say thank you.

This man late at night when i couldn't sleep,did a longgg you know 1 of
those Commercials,then wrote a book and made alot of money.

If you go to your local GNC, all you have to do is go on the shelves where they sell the Colon Cleansing products. They have regular Colon Cleanse and Super Colon Cleanse.

I would LOVE to know how long it takes someone to get a SUPER COLON CLEANSE........lol
