This graph is easy to understand and shows 4 basic types of nerve fibers. Afferent means "going to the brain away from a stimulus". Notice that 3 types of sensation neurons are myelinated to various degrees. The more myelinated the axons, the faster the signals are transmitted.

We often see studies and papers on this forum discussing the various fiber types. So I thought to put this up, so that those papers can be more easily understood.
