IV treatment?

Anybody hear of PCS or other migraine headache cases being treated with a course of IV injections, with hospitalization taking 3 to 7 days? First day with my 9th doctor and he brings this up. This Neurologist is part of the NFL program for former FB players suffering from multiple concussions, and the first one I have met that will call my injury a concussion despite no LOC, so I think a lot of him already.

Progesterone infusions have been studied for years. A doctor in Georgia has tried to patent the procedure. It works for some but must start immediately after the brain trauma as it acts as a neuroprotective agent to slow and prevent the cascade of damage that happens during the first few days after the brain trauma.

Your doctor may be talking about something else. I have not heard of any other IV therapies.

Your other doctors are clueless if they deny a concussion that did not have LOC. Very few concussions, likely less than 5%, include LOC.
