Tingly, Nauseous, and burning
Does anyone else feel tingly all over, nauseous and burning pain in your rsd are? The last few days I have felt tingly everywhere, including my hair. Nauseous bloated and gassy. Also from mid thigh down on my left rsd leg burning pain and charly horses almost in the muscles. Like I worked out heavily or something. Also my heart feels like its beating a mile a minute just from going to the bathroom. I haven't had this experience before and need to know if I should contact my dr. is this my rsd or am I over reacting? Also I have been feeling a bit dizzy almost like I have been drinking enough to have a good buzz going.

I have had those feelings and think the tingly and burning pain are rsd.
The naseaus bloated and gassy pains for me are other things, but I had them when I was pregnant too. (20 years ago). I felt dizzy when I was pregnant too near the end of it because my blood pressure went up. My dr had me lie on my left side until it went down and then I was fine. You may want to tell your dr about your symptoms. It may just be from your pregnancy and rsd, but I would let your him know anyway. I hope you feel better soon. Have a good night my friend. |
I'll be 27 wks on saturday. I didnt have this with my first. I know every pregnancy is different just like all our rsd is different. I do lay on my left side but this is a different feeling. Its like my tingling is from another weather change which is comin on tomorrow, but I have also had gastroenteritis and this is kind of like I felt then except almost my whole left leg is affected by it also. I did have preeclamcia and toximia with my oldest son but not until 38 wks. I know there isnt a lot of research done about rsd and pregnancy. Thats one thing I looked up right away when I knew I was pregnant again and there isnt any research on gabapentin and pregnancy. I got off that right away. Its like I have heartburn, bile taste and am walking on a water balloon strapped to my foot but my leg isnt that swollen and neither is my foot. Does this make sense? I am going to call my ob tomorrow if this doesnt let up though.

I would highly recommend eating potassium loaded foods as well as things with B12.
Potassium= Apricots, Baked Potatoes, Squash & leafy greens. Saltine crackers actually also have a high amount of potassium. B12= Shellfish, Red meat & Dairy or B12 liquid drops. I feel burning all day everyday and worse at night, the all over body tingling I don't get but I know it can be a sign of a severe nutritional deficiency (dangerous) usually electrolytes are out of whack. Add the racing heart and I would not mess around and call your OB or go straight to the ER. It may have nothing to do with RSD so better get checked since you are caring a precious one :) At least that is what I would do in your shoes. Be well, Tessa |
I eat a lot of bananas and red meat and I love spinach. I can eat a whole bag of fresh spinach fast lol. My heart has calmed down some but its when I taste the bile it speeds up. I take a multivitamin every evening. I am slightly anemic but I eat healthy and drink a lot of water. I also drink slightly watered gatorade because too much sweet makes me nauseous. I haven't had any sweet except my coffee this morning.

Have you tried some Tums? To me it sounds little like heartburn, which would also make you bloated and nauseous. The baby could be sitting on some nerve or blood vessel and making you feel that way. That last trimester isn't easy. I wonder if a chiropractor or massage with somebody who works with pregnant woman would help? Have you been doing yoga? That was my lifesaver during my pregnancy. I had a really bad third trimester, couldn't walk for more than an inch at a time, and yoga was the only thing I could really do to keep my body moving.
Look into home made electrolyte drinks. SO much better for you, there are a lot of options out there. And I do feel tingly is many places. I get it in random places sometimes, like a spot on my face or chest, then it goes away. Tingly in my feet all the time, and my hands if I were not on meds. |
I think you should contact your doctor.
Gatorade has negligible potassium in it. Only 30mg per 8oz. It is pure sugar, and you may be having gestational diabetes. Most doctors check for it anyway. Compared to some foods that have 400-800mg/serving. A can of V8 juice has 800mg or so. Find something else to drink, please! Your heart can race when your blood pressure falls. This is to increase blood flow to the body. It is a reflex and common. Some pregnant women really get low in magnesium as well. Muscle tightness and spasms/cramping can signal that you need magnesium. 3oz of almonds have 270mg of magnesium. Try to each magnesium rich foods (beans are also good sources). Avoid MSG in foods...this can over stimulate nerves...monosodium glutamate is a neurological excitotoxin, and the blocker for this is magnesium. |
Just had the diabetes test and was all clear, I chew tums like its candy. This is different. I know rsd can weaken our immune system but this like Im really full even though I eat several small meals not big ones. I think this little goober might be sitting on a nerve. I also forgot to say I drink a Boost Plus every day along with my prenatal. Both have a good amount of potassium in it. I am about to call the ob and see what they say. The concern I have is that I don't hurt my baby while trying to manage as best I can my rsd. I did try a little yoga and man did it hurt my knee and leg. I have done massage and then they touched that leg. I can't afford a chiropractor.

It was evidently another flare combined with really nasty heartburn. Most meds for crps are cat c so they are a no go during pregnancy especially early pregnancy. It sucks they have no research on pregnancy and crps. Yes we can still get pregnant. As long as we haven't gone through menopause we can have a baby. I have 2 so I am proof that we can. I have noticed its harder to get pregnant though. Maybe its the decreased libido, or the anxiety of someone coming near where we hurt so bad or some other chemical in our bodies. Either way it goes I love both my boys even though my newest isnt born yet lol. I didn't have a c section with my oldest and hope and pray I don't for this one. Men with ED can still get you pregnant lol just takes a bit more luck. Keep smiling and stay positive everyone. :grouphug:
