just received a letter from local office saying that they will call me on a certain day and time because they need more information that could affect my ssi claim. So....is this good or bad news? I have read where people getting this letter is a good thing and they are approved for ssd and ssi, but this call is the asset check call....of course, i receive this on a friday and cannot talk to my atty until monday. help! totally freaking out! i have not received any approval nor denial letter from ssd as of yet.

Since you have an attorney I recommend you screen your calls until you can inform your atty of what is going on. Chances are they (SSA) will not try to call you before Monday.

That is wonderful. Glad you have your OFFICIAL notice and can now concentrate on YOU and your health. What a relief you must be experiencing.

I know this must be a huge relief for you.

I don't know exactly what they ask for to determine assets, but I assume that they'll need bank account info, so have that ready for the call.

You have the validation, now, that they finally understand that you are disabled. Now you can focus on your health and not the stress of the ssdi/ssi battle. I hope the checks start coming quickly.

I got that call too, don't worry. I do think it may be part of the whole procedure. I was asked a few more questions to be clearer, and I did so. No worries. Just tell the truth and all should work out fine. I don't think it means a negative outcome. Have your latest health records just incase they need some detail. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Don't freak out, not now, just be strong. ginnie:hug::grouphug:
