Ointments?

Does anyone use Bio Freeze or other ointments for their RA?

Hi Wirlwind

Yes, I use bio freeze, and lidoderm pain patches. Also I have a compounded medication. I can list the ingredients if you want to share it with your doctor. I do a combination of all the therapy I can to help with the arthritis. I also take suppliments, and B12 shots. I hope you can find some relief. ginnie:hug:

Yes thanks, if you can list the ingredients I would appreciate it. Do you go for physical therapy?

I have osteoarthritis, and some spurring... I find the new magnesium lotion-- Morton's Epsom lotion very helpful. It reduces swelling and pain somehow.

Available at WalMart and Amazon.
Here is its webpage:

It is miraculous and simple... only $5.98 and one bottle lasts a long time too! WalMart has it in the first aid section. Amazon charges about $2.00 more.

Hi Whirlwind

I don't know how to spell the entire words. Your doctor will know what these are. This compounded lotion, works about the best for me. KETA/ CLON/GABA/IMP/MEFEN/TETRE (1) 10%. This numbs, and takes away some of the ache. ginnie:grouphug:

I have OA not RA, but I know at least 2 people that claim to have RA, that use TwoOldGoats lotion (not kidding, no pun>kid-baby goat, lol) anyway, I tried it and nogo. But that's just me, maybe you and others might have better luck ! Oh, I have OA and SFSN,ehhh.

I use Bio Freeze for my OA. I dont have RA. But when I saw your question I thought you wouldn't mind a testimony.

But I also use a combo of meds too.

I have nerve pain in my legs (RLS) and my hands have had quite a few surgeries over the years.

My dr put me on Gabapentin for the nerve pain, Ultram HCL for the arthritis pain. I use Bio Freeze on my knee and my neck, but have to watch I don't burn my skin (if you apply it too often).

I use a advil chaser inbetween doses of the Neurontin and Ultram. It works for me and I have been on it for quite some time.

If you can't get Bio Freeze roll on, Icy Hot and Cold roll on works just as good.

Praying the Bio Freeze works for you! And here is your group hug:grouphug: to get you through the day:)
