Eligible for SSDI Medicare Supplemental Ins.?

If you are suffering from chronic and debilitating pain, and are eligible for Medicare Supplemental Insurance, make absolutely sure your physician is in your plan. Ask you physician if they are going to continue accepting the plan. If part of your treatment plan includes continual pharmacological therapy with opioids, then be wise. Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans love to promote their own mail-order pharmacy, Prime Therapeutics. If continuance of medication is of concern, do not use Prime Therapeutics. Even if you send them a most detailed prescription, pay for overnight delivery and return, plan for at least two weeks before you will receive your medications. Their head of pharmacy is not a Pharm.D. pharmacist. They choose when and if you will receive your medications, despite having your state's "Top 200" physician (as I do), and have never failed a drug screening and pill count, Even paying for Prime Therapeutic's "overnight delivery," is pointless. Over night? They will tell you, "We did not tell you which night, did we?" If you rely on continuance of care, BCBS may be for you. Just steer clear of their mail-order Prime Therapeutics, unless, of course, you find Withdrawal Syndrome enjoyable.
