When do you give up? In 99 I was out of work for 6 months to what I thought was cabon monoxide posioning. Have had vertigo, dizziness and ears ringing since. 03 herniated C6-C7 and tribecular metal fusion in 06 which didn't due anything. MRI report states that there was a lack of disc height still and bilateral neural formal narrowing which has now reherniated to where it was before the operation. Have developed terrible heart PVC's, C5-C6 is now herniated, L5-S1 herniation with perineural cysts. retrolistthesis L2-L3 and L3-L4. Then to top it off am having M.S. symptoms. Had a brain MRI done then a CAT scan and it clearly shows compression of the medulla oblongata by a left tortuous veretebral artery which I found myself on the MRI films and was confirmed by two different Dr's. I thought I had finally found my smoking gun. I have been to two major hospitals on the East coast and both neurosurgeons spent more time Trying to talk themselves out of why they shouldn't do the surgery than what was causing my symptoms. Both of them said I was entitled to a second opinion with one giving me a Drs. name in S.C. to contact who may perform the surgery and the other saying it's not that bad. If this was compressed by a herniated disc they would have told me I needed an operation right away. Does anyone know of a neurosurgeon in the north east that will spend more than 5 minutes with you? Thank you!
