Can anyone help?

I have been on a major pain roller coaster, been real high in pain, then I got this darn cold, well something somewhere has lowered the pain. Here is my past weekend of meds. Started airborne Friday morning, along with reg pain meds of hydrocodone 5/325 took 3 all day, then took children's night time cold n cough relief, pain was unbearable still, Saturday was the same. On Sunday hubby bought me the daytime and night time rite aid brand flu relief therapy cough medicine. 30 Minnie's after taking it the cold symptoms were better and so was the crps pain. Now I wanna know what in this stuff has helped, maybe there was an interaction with hydrocodone but whatever it is it helps! Any ideas? The daytime stuff has acetaminohen 325 dextromethorphan her 10 mg andcphenylephrine hci 5 mg

Wish I had a clue, no help here. Have you also taken Vitamin C for the cold?
Vitamin C does help a little.

Were you mostly in bed or hanging out on the couch? A reduction of activity and being at home could be the difference as well.

Just a warning...

Those with allergies must be careful with airborne type meds... Some have echinecia (excuse the spelling) which can spark bad allergies, which is no fun, esp on top of the pain of RSD... Just a head's up :)

Maybe the extra acetaminophen in the cold medication on top of the hydrocodone?

It could be the weather, as well, if a storm is around your area and the ionosphere is highly charged your pain levels will sky rocket, until the charge passes. ( this is a a new scientific discovery ) they do sell a machine to neuturalize it in your house but im sure it is very expensive

Weather plays a mahjong role in my pain level. Humidity sucks, heat is great, I can tell you it's gonna rain or snow well before the clouds change lol I feel it in my bones I say

Oh yes. The weather is such a big thing for me that I did a poll on it here - cant remember the exact numbers, but I think it was 18 out of 20 said the weather affected their CRPS. And one of the no's later said it did affect them...

There has been some research into the effect of atmospheric pressure on our bodies and effects on pain, but not I think specifically around CRPS. It has been mentioned in a few papers though.

At the moment we in the UK are under a major low pressure system, with loads of rain, storms, high humidity etc. It's hell. I'd rather have it colder with some clear blue skies now thAnks!

Hope you are having a better day today.

Bram.
