What's up with all these cavities?!
 

I'm 16, and since I was younger I always had so many cavities, and I shook it off thinking that it was just hereditary. In a sense, it is hereditary, but every dentist visit I am always told I have one or two or five new cavities. What really scared me was that I have to get a root canal on one of my teeth. I no longer eat or drink any sugary things, and I try to cut back on foods with phytic acids, but that never seems enough. I also brush thoroughly two or more times a day, floss once a day. I'm completely stumped at the moment and am scared to eat anything now. I could dearly use some advice from anyone, whether it is on what I should eat or what I can do to prevent these cavities. I appreciate any help!
