Might be slightly off topic
Hi guys,
THis may not be gluten related but it was diet and stomach related so I thought I would ask anyway. By the way I did eliminate gluten from my diet and I am feeling better but it's only been 6 weeks so may be too early to tell. But I recently had some blood tests done and I apparently have very high candida levels in my blood and doc thinks I may have a candida infection. Pointed me toward a book The Yeast connection until we could meet. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Thanks for any ideas |
It makes sense.
Many people with gluten issues have candida issues also. SCD is great to start with because it starves out bad bacteria. I've heard good things about the candida diet too but have not done it myself. Six weeks is not too early to tell. Some people can tell in a week. Some people can tell in 18 months... it all depends on the person and their symptoms. |
I'm working on trying to remember who it was who had this problem. Whoever it was~ was truly well informed in regard to all aspects of yeast problems. It would be like one stop shopping for all your questions, if I could think of who it was. Not a regular on the GS/CD~ but one who passed through for a time many years ago. If I can think of who it is and locate the person, I'll definitely point them this direction. But.. it will be a stretch... because it goes back several years.
We've had plenty of discussions about yeast... but.. you know.. gone :(. I can pass along this link, if you haven't seen it yet~ http://www.candidapage.com/ Gluten free, casein free, sugar free is usually part of the plan for treating yeast, and sometimes anti-yeast meds. Not sure about when it is found in the blood~ if they treat it any differently. Cara |
