I miss you! Are you okay?

Thank you so much for checking on me.

I have been recovering from the major surgery I had earlier in the year. In August, hubby took me off on a holiday to the Great Barrier Reef and to Australia's Far North Coast - but time goes so fast. We've already been back for 2 months! I had a wonderful time and cannot wait to go back again.

I bought postcards for everyone while I was away but I haven't been able to post them yet. It looks like Christmas will beat me now but please know that you all have some lovely cards to look forward to in the New Year. :D

Gosh! How horrible to be talking about 2014 already! I'll just go wash my mouth out with soap and water!

:D Nice to begin the day laughing after a scary night!

The wind gusts toppled two of our pine trees, one right in half. These two old people will be a long time cutting those up. And it isn't light outside yet but huge bright full moon enabled me to see that our hot tub lid was blown open!!! They are heavy! So thankful that we still have our electricity.

And spending time in the basement gave us a chance to ck our supplies...radios needed new batteries and one flashlight is broken.
Today I'll ck the dates on the food down there.

Koala we'll all look forward to those postcards!

Hugs for the room....still wondering about our Abbie. :grouphug:

I am so pleased to hear that you and Mr Alffe are safe from those terrible storms. I hope the rest of your family also are safe and unharmed. Shame about your hot tub though .... let's hope that it's only the lid that was harmed.

We saw the terrible damage on the TV here in the Land of Oz, but apart from saying the state of Illinois got hit, there were no details as to what part. I heard no town or city names mentioned so was unable tick my NT friends off as probably safe. A little information is often worse than a whole lot!:(

I can't wait to hear from everybody else who lived near..... like the "Moi" family, maybe?

We had a tough day and night too...but not as bad as yours was
Alffe! Glad you all are okay!
