Present and accounted for.

I have been busy with yard work...it keeps me strong. I finally am recovered physically from the summer injury. I really had to get disciplined again with sleep and movement. The pain takes precedence over all...so I keep it at bay and the rest of life is gravy.

Me too on prep for winter....got a new portable heater for the bedroom; a giant bathrobe; couch throw cover...just need new slippers...if I let my core get cold I am down for two days.
I love being alone so I have to watch that line of isolation this time of year. I am not a big fan of these upcoming holidays. My best friend knows this and gets me out. I did join the bird club. I am as codependent as they come so doing exercises for that....reading; caring for myself; introspective.
Looking at the big picture...I am well and happy and have the gift of time. How precious is that!!

Seems things are on a downward spiral. Need to pick myself up and keep moving. Each day seems to be a bit more difficult than the day before; but do check in; just not as often.

Hate Oct/nov months so dark and dismal. So looking forward to the new year when Spring comes around and everything is fresh and new. Hope you are all keeping well :grouphug:

It's a hard time of year
 

Holidays approach. Daylight savings take an hour away. Although it doesn't get cold in Cali, the rains do come. It used to be my favortite time of year. Skiing time approaching! Time to plan exotic ultra challenging ski trips with my crew. Skiing was my religion. It was that important to me. For me not being able to ski is like excommunication. It's painful. I might try it this year. Just get up on skis maybe. But be in the top 1-2% skill level wise at many mountains? Feel that incredible freedom? No. Winter is hard. Especially bc i amp up the lying about how I'm cutting back on the sport. Everyone asks bc i was sage on the subject. I can give em an answer, but on the inside I beg them not to ask. Ill never be able to teach my kids this great love i had.

I'll keep up my biking and swimming. At least it doesn't rain for months on end like Seattle.

I've had some complications. Trying to get everything under control. Crazy month!

Good morning all.
Things are working and buzzing like they are suppose to be doing .
Haven't been on much had a couple of little hiccups with scs going on 7 weeks post op for implant adaptive stim was turned on about 2 weeks ago.
When it was turned on and programmed had to go back in just a couple of days due to the sensor not being calibrated correctly.
My Medtronics rep also allowed me to be able to tweak it more then normal basically she said its turned on wide open for me to be able to tweak it.
Also we have had our first 2 inches of snow already here and it has been really cold her some days it has not been out of the middle 30's for the highs. This cold weather seems to mess with me a lot more then it used to.
This time of year is pretty hard emotionally for me I lost my dad two days before turkey day a couple of years ago and it still bugs me when this time of year rolls around so I become somewhat of a grizzly bear an like to hibernate more than I should lol working on that this year though trying not to do so as much.
As for being able to do things around the house now doing great it seems wonderful to be able to take the dogs for long walks again.
I broke out the the headphones and tunes an camera the other day and was gone for almost 5 hours just walking and shooting pics. Told my wife that I have been thinking about going down to Pittsburgh and doing shots down there such as street photography.
I landed a cool little shot booked for July a friend of mine is getting married then and his wife called the studio the other day and asking if I would shot their wedding? I told them of course I would mean a little bit of traveling for me but I'm sure as of right now I would be able to do it. It will be about a 5 1/2 hour drive over to Springfield,OH but well worth it.
I'm still around just lurking most of the time and working on trying to get better everyday.
