Pulled muscle or perhaps not? Advice

Hello! I am new here. I am 37 years old & have suffered with back pain since I was 20. I was in a car accident, suffered compression fracture of T6...things went down hill from there.*
I am having a strange pain in my upper back, left side. It began 4 weeks ago. I mentioned it to my pain dr, but he brushed it off. But I am concerned. I thought I pulled a muscle, but this doesn't feel like any other time I have tweaked a muscle. This pain runs vertical to my spine, near where my fracture was. It feels like I have a bad sunburn constantly. When I move or sit for long, it feels like wasps stinging...like a billion wasps at once. Then once I lay down, it tingles & burns. I have tried ice, heat, Advil, resting...along with my daily doses muscle relaxers, Celebrex, Neurontin, & Lortab. NOTHING has helped. I called my dr, but he can't see me until next week.**Has anyone ever had this type of pain & if so, was it just a pulled muscle? Or has anyone ever pulled an upper back muscle & what did it feel like? I am at my witts end here!
